C&C TRUCKS Moves from Vehicle Exports to Integrated Overseas Solutions at IAA 2026
At IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, C&C TRUCKS is showcasing two new models for overseas markets: the Phoenix BEV electric heavy-duty truck and the Phoenix REEV range-extended heavy-duty truck.

Beyond the trucks themselves, the company is also presenting an integrated solution covering vehicles, solar power, energy storage, charging and battery swapping. It has also delivered its first customer vehicle on a non-European transport corridor and signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
Zhu Hong, Vice President of Chery Commercial Vehicle and General Manager of C&C TRUCKS, said the two trucks on display are not concept vehicles. Both are production models that have already received bulk orders.

The IAA appearance therefore marks more than a product launch. It shows that C&C TRUCKS is moving its overseas business from selling vehicles to providing complete transport and energy solutions.
From Selling Trucks to Providing Transport Solutions
China's commercial vehicle market is highly competitive. New-energy heavy trucks are growing quickly, but the overall market is still relatively limited.
At the same time, demand for electric heavy trucks is increasing in overseas markets. Zhu said heavy-truck electrification is a long-term trend. In some overseas markets, however, charging and battery-swapping networks are still developing, while the gap between fuel and electricity costs is becoming more important to fleet operators.
Against this background, C&C TRUCKS is bringing more than vehicles to IAA. It is showing a complete solution that covers both the truck and its energy supply.
The company's integrated solution is designed to address a basic question for electric-truck operators: Can the truck complete its transport work reliably?
C&C TRUCKS uses different combinations of the tractor, trailer and battery system to match different routes and power requirements. It also offers mobile energy storage, charging and battery-swapping solutions that can reduce the need for large fixed infrastructure projects.
The approach allows energy equipment to be adjusted according to transport routes and cargo flows. It can also reduce customers' initial infrastructure investment and the risk of being left with underused fixed assets.
First Overseas Customer Vehicle Enters Real-World Operation
The delivery of C&C TRUCKS' first customer vehicle on a non-European transport corridor marks an important step in putting its products and integrated solutions into real-world operation.
The delivery was accompanied by a strategic cooperation agreement with Gotion High-Tech and Ela-la. The partners will integrate the vehicle, battery, battery swapping, and mobile charging and energy-storage services into one solution for overseas customers.
Zhu said overseas competition is no longer simply about vehicle prices and specifications. Transport distances, infrastructure and operating conditions vary widely from one market to another.
Customers are increasingly focused on whether a truck can operate reliably and how much it costs to move each ton of cargo over each kilometer.
C&C TRUCKS therefore plans to develop different solutions for different transport applications rather than using one technology across all markets.
BEV and REEV for Different Transport Needs
Technology choice is another key issue as new-energy heavy trucks expand overseas.
While some European brands are mainly focusing on battery-electric trucks, C&C TRUCKS is developing both battery-electric and range-extended models.
The Phoenix BEV is designed mainly for fixed routes, short- and medium-distance transport, and applications with reliable charging or battery-swapping infrastructure.

The Phoenix REEV is aimed at cross-regional and medium- to long-distance transport, especially on routes where charging and battery-swapping networks are still limited.
The Phoenix REEV is equipped with a 430 kWh battery and a 110 kW range extender. It offers more than 1,300 km of range with a full tank and full battery charge. The truck supports three energy-supply options: charging, battery swapping and refueling.

This combination gives overseas customers more flexibility to choose a truck and energy solution based on the conditions of their actual transport routes.
From Market Entry to Local Operations
C&C TRUCKS sees China's new-energy commercial vehicle supply chain, technology capabilities and experience in complex logistics operations as a foundation for its overseas expansion.
Its products have already been tested in different transport conditions and operating scenarios in China. As sales have grown, the company has also gained experience in reducing three-electric-system costs, improving supply-chain response and accelerating technology development.
For its global expansion, C&C TRUCKS is following Chery Group's approach of “In somewhere, For somewhere, Be somewhere.”
This means the company does not plan to simply copy its Chinese products and operating model overseas. Instead, it will adjust its products and services to local regulations, road conditions and logistics needs.
C&C TRUCKS also plans to work with local partners to build capabilities in research and development, manufacturing and after-sales service.

Zhu said the company wants to expand overseas step by step and make sure that every truck delivered to an overseas market can be put into real operation.
From its integrated transport solution at IAA Transportation 2026 to the first customer vehicle delivered on a non-European transport corridor, C&C TRUCKS is moving beyond simple vehicle exports toward an overseas business model that combines vehicles, energy and services. The company is also taking further steps to bring new-energy heavy trucks into real-world operation in global markets.
