FAW TRUCKS Rolls Out First Locally Assembled LN 4×4 at Indonesia KD Plant
FAW TRUCKS has rolled out the first LN 4×4 truck from its knock-down (KD) assembly plant in Indonesia, marking the start of local production at the facility and a significant step in the company’s localization strategy in Southeast Asia.
The Indonesia KD plant was established in accordance with FAW TRUCKS’ global manufacturing standards. In cooperation with local partners, the facility has implemented an integrated production system covering components importation, vehicle assembly, quality control, and final delivery. The company stated that production processes are aligned with its global quality framework to ensure consistency across markets.
The LN 4×4 model has been adapted for Indonesia’s road and operating conditions, particularly for applications requiring high durability and off-road capability. According to the company, the vehicle has been optimized to handle complex terrain and intensive duty cycles commonly found in sectors such as mining and infrastructure.

The truck has already entered service in local mining operations. Field performance data indicate stable operation under extended working hours, heavy loads, and demanding environmental conditions. Customers have highlighted the vehicle’s spacious cab layout and driver-focused interior design, noting a combination of operational functionality and driving comfort.
FAW TRUCKS has been present in the Indonesian market for two decades. Between 2023 and 2025, the company reported year-on-year sales growth, with volumes doubling annually during that period. The rollout of the LN 4×4 at the Indonesia KD plant represents a further expansion of its local manufacturing footprint.

The company states that it currently holds comprehensive road vehicle certification coverage in Indonesia among Chinese brands. Its product lineup in the country includes tractor units, cargo trucks, and dump trucks, serving multiple transport and construction applications.
Looking ahead, FAW TRUCKS plans to further strengthen its localized manufacturing capabilities, enhance supply chain coordination, and expand aftersales service support in Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian market. The company said it will continue working with regional partners to support the development of the local logistics and transportation sector as part of its broader international growth strategy.
