Tianjin FAW Xiali to Increase Production Capacity
To increase production capacity, Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of FAW Group, started to build up a new plant in Tianjin. A construction celebration ceremony was held on Oct 25.
The so-called Huali New Plant project is one of the twenty key engineering projects approved by Tianjin government.
With the investment of 1.598 billion Yuan RMB, the new plant will occupy an area of 208, 200 square meters including 158, 400 square meters building areas. Through the new built stamping, coating, final assembling workshops, power and auxiliary facilities, the new plant plans to produce Xiali's X123, V221 and A230 series vehicle products with the production capacity of 150, 000 units per year. It is forecasted the project will be accomplished in Sep 2010.
