FAW new plant with annual capacities of 200,000 to be set up
(chinatrucks.com, Dec 13, 2010) It is learned by reporter from FAW on Dec 9th, 2010 that FAW Light Commercial Vehicle Company Limited Changchun plant has been officially established, and the annual capacities of the new plant will reach 200,000.
FAW new plant will mainly manufacture the pickup, SUV, MPV, and light bus in accordance with the introduction. At the moment, the new plant has owned the annual capacities with 80,000 CVs. The new plant will initially produce pickup series products according to the production plan of the new plant. It will introduce SUV and light bus products from GM. The annual capacities of the new plant will be increased to 200,000 as the market demands are growing.
FAW Light Commercial Vehicle Company Limited is established at August, 2009, which has been invested by GM and FAW and the overall investment of the program are 200 million Euros, and both parties have taken 50% shares. The new plant is located in Changchun, which is the headquarter of the JV Company.
