FAW Qingdao commercial vehicle program settles in Chengdu
(chinatrucks.com, Dec 24, 2010) The new commercial vehicle program with overall investment of 100 million Euros is established in Chengdu. Sales revenue of the program will reach 15 billion Euros to 20 billion Euros after the new program has been established. The signing ceremony of FAW Qingdao Auto Plant with 100,000 commercial vehicle capacities has been hold.
Vice president of FAW Group, Chunbo Dong quotes that “Chengdu is the strategic place for FAW development”. It is learned by reporter for FAW Qingdao that the new program will establish three large process new plants including welding, coating and assembly. It will occupy 1300 square meters and the newly increased investment will reach 100 million Euros.
The new program will initiate from July in 2011 and will be ended in January in 2013. The annual capacities include 40,000 light trucks and 60,000 medium and heavy trucks and the predicted sales revenue of the new program will reach 15 billion Euros to 20 billion Euros after it has been established.
