FAW Jiefang: 13,000 MD and HD Trucks Sold in August

www.chinatrucks.com: FAW Jiefang, after a surprising growth in both sales and market share in July also achieves good marketing results in August, a traditional off-season. A total of 13,000 MD and HD trucks are sold, up by 56.5% over the same period of last year and 22% higher than the average growth of the industry. The market share is estimated to be 16.9%, up by 2.4% over the same period of last year and 0.6% over July. In the first eight months, FAW Jiefang sells 119,000 units in total.

This year, FAW Jiefang deepens marketing of product series and conduct specific and detailed marketing strategies in each small segment. In August, the sales targets of cargo trucks, dumpers, tractors and special vehicles are fulfilled. In Changchun, 4,600 units of tractors are sold. Currently, Jiefang tractors take up almost half of the market. Among its major products, Jiefang 11L vehicle sees a dramatic sales increase in Anhui, Henan, and Jiangxi. Jiefang J6L cargo truck enjoys a sales volume over 10,000 units, indicating the product’s gradual maturity. The muck truck makes breakthroughs in Hebei province. Seen from sales regions, Jilin, Henan, Tianjin, Hebei, Anhui, Shandong and Liaoning contribute a lot to the sales.

Entering September, there appears a good sign for cargo transportation market. FAW will catch up market opportunities left in the fourth quarter and strive for the whole year’s marketing target by enhancing market strategy, terminal promotion and service security.
