Jiefang J6P 6x4 flat head tractor provides 9L lightweight little leaf spring edition, lightweight air suspension edition, 9L edition, 11L edition, 11L lightweight little leaf spring edition, as well as 13L edition. The core power for tractor is internationally advancing engine, and 9L lightweight little leaf spring truck is equipped with 6DL engine, 11L edition is equipped with 6DM engine and 13L edition is equipped with 6DN engine which owns the largest displacement and torque in China.

The transmission is FS10209 which was jointly developed by Jiefang and EATON, and the driving axle is the largest in China φ500 single reduction axle and φ485 axle which are developed by Jiefang based on imported Nissan Diesel gearbox, and Jiefang developed φ300 round edge deceleration axle.

Flat ceiling driving cabin of Jiefang J6P 6x4 tractor is 7.33 meter long, 2.495 meter wide and 3.06 meter high. The roof is rather high and one and a half seats for three people can be included in the driving cabin. FAW Jiefang pays much attention on the design of the cabin room in terms of interior trimmings and materials and its safety, comfort, technology, and aesthetic design are world level. The gross weights of the truck is 8.4-9 tons and the maximum total mass is 2.5 tons and traction weights are 40 tons.

While the super edition uses 13L CA6DN1 heavy-duty diesel engine with the largest displacement in China and it is developed by Jiefang, and ZF l6-speed gearbox is used, together with φ485 axle for medium and long haul and large goods transportation.
