FAW Jiefang Intelligent Truck Makes New Technological Breakthroughs
On February 27, a driverless truck made by FAW Jiefang successfully completed a test at Jingtang Port, marking a huge step forward for the commercialization of the new vehicle.
According to the authorities at the port, FAW Jiefang’s driverless truck worked side by side with other driver-operated trucks for four hours, fully demonstrating its high consistency and high reliability in performance.
Built on the huge success of J7 truck, the driverless truck reaches IP69 protection level. Equipped with a number of state-of-art technologies, the vehicles worked with high precision and high efficiency, allowing port authorities further cut their operating costs.
As a part of FAW Jiefang Columbus AI+ Program, the truck is set to push forward the commercialization of intelligent vehicles in China.
