China’s Natural Gas Powered Heavy-duty Trucks Sold 85,000 Units in H1 2019
Since October, 2018, China’s natural gas powered heavy-duty truck market has reversed its declining momentum and witnessed a robust growth. In the last quarter of 2018, the monthly growth rate of sales registered at 39%, 190%, and 218% year on year respectively.
From January to June this year, China’s sales volume of natural gas heavy-duty trucks reached 85,000 units, a new record high, 27% more than the whole year’s sales volume in 2018.
The natural gas powered heavy-duty truck grew by 140% year on year in January, over 500% year on year in February. In March, the monthly growth rate stood at 280%, reaching 12,000 units. In April, the sales stood at 11,000 units, up by nearly 160% year on year. In May, the sales reached 13,000 units, up by 134% year on year. In June, the sales jumped to 39,000 units, up by over 700% year on year.
