FAW Jiefang’s New Production Base Starts Construction in Liuzhou
On November 29, the new production base of FAW Jiefang located in Liudong New Area, Liuzhou, officially started construction.
Covering an area of 765 mu, FAW Jiefang’s new production area is specialized in developing and manufacturing light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, new energy commercial vehicles, special vehicles, etc. After the completion of its construction, it is able to produce 100,000 units whole vehicles and 10,000 units special vehicles each year. With a total investment of one billion RMB, it will chiefly target Southeast Asian market.
“FAW Jiefang Liuzhou Special Vehicle Co., Ltd., whose predecessor is FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. Liuzhou Branch, plays a leading role in Liuzhou’s automobile industry. The new production base, which serves as FAW Jiefang’s commercial vehicle production center in South China, will further promote the fast development of the automobile industry in Liuzhou,” said He Peijun, Director of the Administrative Committee of Liudong New Area, Liuzhou.
