FAW South Africa's 7000TH Truck Built at Coega Plant
On April 30, the 7,000th unit truck JH6 gradually went off the assembly line in Coega plant of FAW South Africa, marking a new milestone for the company.
Equipped with Jiefang CA6DM3 13L engine, ZF 12-speed AMT transmission gearbox, retarder, aluminum alloy wheel rims, JH6 truck is continuing to strengthen its presence in the high-end truck market in South Africa.
Committed to serving customers in Africa, Coega factory started operation in July, 2014. Despite COVID-19, the factory delivered 430 units trucks to its customers in the first quarter this year, up by 21.8% year on year. In addition, its market share has now reached a new record high in South Africa, standing at 8.5% and ranking the first place among all Chinese truck brands.
Since its establishment, FAW South Africa has been growing robustly. Now, it is specialized in producing and manufacturing trucks and providing related after-sales services and financing services for customers in the south of African continent.
