FAW TRUCKS Chairman Meets Middle East Officials During 2025 WNEVC UAE Session
Li Sheng, chairman and party secretary of Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer FAW TRUCKS, met with senior government and business officials from the Middle East during the 2025 World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC) held in the UAE from May 19 to 21.
Li led a company delegation to the three-day event, where he held talks with representatives from the Omani Ministry of Energy, investment officials from the Qatari royal family, and the UAE Road and Transport Authority.
Discussions centered on potential cooperation in hydrogen energy applications, overseas investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks for autonomous driving. FAW Jiefang said the meetings resulted in preliminary agreements to explore joint efforts in these areas.
Company officials said the engagement marks a step forward in strengthening ties with Middle Eastern partners and supports FAW TRUCKS’s broader efforts to expand its international footprint, particularly in the region’s commercial vehicle and clean energy sectors.
Leng Changchun, general manager and party secretary of FAW Jiefang International, also participated in the meetings.
